Valentine’s Day on a budget
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner it’s time to start thinking of those special ways to tell your most loved one just how much you love them. If you haven’t already, that’s what we’re here for. Here at Chester Student Lets we understand that funds can be tight and not all of us can treat our loved ones to an $18,000 200 year-old olive tree like Brad Pitt did for Angelina Jolie, or fly them off to a private island like Richard Branson. So, we have devised a list of our favourite Valentine’s Day hacks for those on a budget, but without losing the love!
Make, don’t buy
Whether it’s Christmas, a birthday or Valentine’s Day, making your loved one a gift rather than forking out for a gift not only saves you a quid or two, but allows you to get creative and show your partner just how much they mean to you. Sometimes less is more and the little things with a lot of effort put in go a long way!
Get creative with your homemade gifts, you know your partner better than anyone. Still stuck? Here are a few of our favourite ideas:
Other frugal but thoughful ideas:
- Make a gift – Frame special memories
- Picnic at home – DIY your favourite bar – still get dressed up
- Write a nice letter/poem/rap – doesn’t have to be soppy.
- Eat out on a different day- or eat out for breakfast, way cheaper.
- Vouchers for your other half – cost nothing.
- FLOWERS
