Currywurst is a traditional German fast food dish consisting of steamed, then fried pork sausage with curry ketchup poured over it and topped with curry powder. It is really, really nice.

The invention of currywurst is attributed to Herta Heuwer in Berlin in 1949, after she obtained ketchup (or possibly Worcestershire sauce) and curry powder from British soldiers in Germany. She mixed these ingredients with other spices and poured it over grilled pork sausage. In Berlin there's a plaque dedicated to her memory and invention of the now staple dish.

Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup consisting of a stock called dashi into which softened miso paste is mixed. Many ingredients are added depending on regional and seasonal recipes, and personal preference. A common ingredient used is tofu which makes it vegetarian and vegan friendly- made the right way.
